You may live in a neighborhood or a
building where everyone knows each other, or you may live in one where you
have only said ten words to the people living next to you. In both
cases, these are your neighbors. Every now and then a neighbor will go out
of their way and take time out of their own schedule to help you out.
It might be helping to unload your groceries while you take care of your
kids, lending you tools you need to finish up a project on your house, or
helping you drag the couch out of your house that you cannot seem to get out
the door, They are doing this out of their own kindness and do not
expect anything in return. To show some appreciation, a small gift
would be nice. The gift does not have to be large or expensive, in fact,
that might embarrass them, although something that shows that thought went
into its selection will be noticed by the recipient.
Gift Ideas to Say Thank You to a
Neighbor:
-
Flowers or a Plant (delivered to
them directly at work)
-
Gift basket (based on their
tastes)
-
Greeting Card (inexpensive, but
the right card will say a lot)
-
Cigar (for the smoker)
-
Book they may enjoy reading (if
you know their taste)
